But today <strong>everything seems easy<\/strong>: the devices are new and the suppliers are all well disposed. But what will happen <strong>in several years<\/strong>, in particular if the system was made by a very good System Integrator who used <strong>different brands<\/strong> of equipment? For electronic ticketing systems, and in particular for devices, retirement is a <strong>far-off mirage<\/strong>, which is reached after at least <strong>10 years<\/strong> of continuous work, in<strong> weary environments<\/strong> like a bus, constantly subject to jolts, vibrations, power surges and extreme temperatures. A fleet of equipment, such as those of buses, <strong>can certainly not be replaced<\/strong> as easily as a smartphone. In the modern world, where everything has a short life, it is necessary a <strong>specialized organization<\/strong> such as AEP to guarantee <strong>spare parts and maintenance<\/strong> for long periods, during which there is no doubt, but the <strong>certainty<\/strong> that many components will be missing.
