{"id":29487,"date":"2015-11-17T16:17:06","date_gmt":"2015-11-17T15:17:06","guid":{"rendered":"\/en\/?p=29487"},"modified":"2015-11-17T16:22:48","modified_gmt":"2015-11-17T15:22:48","slug":"aep-visiting-transport-for-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aep-italia.it\/en\/2015\/11\/aep-visiting-transport-for-london\/","title":{"rendered":"AEP visiting Transport For London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>AEP Ticketing Solutions <\/strong>\u00a0has participated on Sep 16th 2015 to the visit to <a href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/\">Transport For London<\/a> (TFL) organized by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.club-italia.com\/\">Club Italia<\/a>, aimed at understanding the process which has driven the acceptance of contactless\u00a0\u00a0<strong>EMV<\/strong>\u00a0credit cards in addition to the popular\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oyster.tfl.gov.uk\/oyster\/entry.do\">Oyster Card<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The visiting team has been warmly welcome, thanks to the perfect organization \u00a0coordinated by <strong>Claudio Claroni<\/strong>, the Director of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.club-italia.com\/\">Club Italia<\/a>. The visit, with over twenty participants\u00a0from the Transport Companies and their suppliers, has been very interesting and has helped understand this huge organization which employs some\u00a0<strong>85.000 people<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>TFL has invested over\u00a0<strong>60 million\u00a0Pounds<\/strong> to integrate their existing system\u00a0with the so called\u00a0<strong><em>contactless<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<strong>system<\/strong>\u00a0which in reality means\u00a0&#8220;use of EMV credit cards to access and pay the public transport&#8221; (the Oyster is indeed a contactless card but everybody simply calls it\u00a0<em>Oyster<\/em>). The\u00a0investment has yielded a cost reduction of\u00a0<strong>over\u00a080 million Pounds\u00a0yearly<\/strong>, with a rewarding feedback from the customers. In its first year the system could then boast a <strong>profitable<\/strong> balance sheet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gianni Becattini<\/strong>, AEP CEO, has commented: <em>&#8220;AEP firmly believes that the EMV contactless acceptance will gain share in the Public Transport and is heavily investing in developing\u00a0<strong>new products<\/strong>\u00a0which will be launched within <strong>Q2 2016<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AEP Ticketing Solutions \u00a0has participated on Sep 16th 2015 to the visit to Transport For London (TFL) organized by\u00a0Club Italia, aimed at understanding the process which has driven the acceptance of contactless\u00a0\u00a0EMV\u00a0credit cards in addition to the popular\u00a0Oyster Card.
