AEP obtains the OHSAS 18001 certification

Signa, 20.09.2019 AEP has achieved OHSAS 18001 certification relating to occupational safety and the health of its employees.

OHSAS 18001 is a voluntary standard, applicable to all private and public, manufacturing and commercial organizations, which establishes how to implement a health and safety management system at work, so as to control and manage all the activities carried out, minimizing the risks of accidents at work.

Essential requirements to achieve OHSAS 18001 certification are:

  • the implementation of a safety management system consisting, essentially, of a set of rules and responsibilities;
  • the compliance with current legislation on occupational health and safety at all levels: regional, national and European;
  • the commitment, on the part of management, to continuous improvement in the field of health and safety of workers, evidenced by the definition of targeted objectives for this specific issue.
