Nantes, 10.1.2019   The 27th edition of the Rencontres Nationales du Transport Public, the public transport exhibition that is an important reference point for the entire sector opened in Nantes (France). More than 200 exhibitors are present, including AEP, with its stand at position 29. After approval, they receive an e-mail with a QR-code which, once presented to the CLM-3, produces the encoding and printing of the personal card. Another interesting novelty is the new Futura 3G, designed for underground access, directly derived from Futura 3B. “The French market remains one of the most interesting for us” said ing. Siena EMV: a great success

Siena EMV: a great success

The technical visit of Club Italia ended in Siena; during this visit, Tiemme presented the new urban system based on EMV bank cards implemented by AEP, that is extremely successful. Boarding the urban bus, you just have to tap your contactless card to the Futura 3B validator, wait for the validation beep and the green light, then sit on board. A very simple and innovative way to pay for your bus ticket. It is the innovative Pay and Go service that allows you to pay for your ticket with a beep. “Pay and Go“, the new e-money service activated by Tiemme on over 100 buses in the urban fleet, is now also active in Siena. The new service is based on AEP’s ET-PASS system and is carried out in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo, Mastercard and VISA. The project is accompanied by a communication campaign designed by Tiemme with the slogan “Pay and Go” outside and inside the buses (also in English). In particular, the “Pollicini”, minibuses that travel inside the historic center of Siena, become information units of the project, able to communicate all the information on the use of cards and to send a strong message encouraging the use of public transport, precisely because it is easier. Even the indicators and bus shelters in urban stops have information sheets that illustrate the characteristics of the initiative and provide useful instructions before boarding. Further information can be found online, on the home page of the website www.tiemmespa.it and on the Company’s Facebook page (Tiemme Spa), where a video describes the operations to be carried out on board to make the ticket in contactless mode.   “The payment on board...

The entire Grand Angoulême network has been redesigned to integrate these new BHNS lines and meet the needs of the residents of the area, while passengers are appreciating the quality of the construction of the stations and the comfort of the buses. The inauguration was attended by regional and city authorities, who placed great emphasis on the huge investment made in the area, which in addition to the BHNS lines includes the innovative ticketing system provided by AEP. The AEP system includes, in addition to the classic features of contactless cards, the management of paper QR-codes in real time in ABT mode and is prepared for the activation of an EMV system for bank cards.   One of AEP’s RTVM-T ticket vending machine is clearly visible in the photo...

On next 12 September, the EMV system will also start in the entire urban area of Siena, one of the most famous Italian cities in the world, visited every year by millions of international tourists.
